MIA DALGLISH found tango through an unlikely path. Mia was trained as a musician, runner and photographer and works as a photographic curator in addition to teaching tango. She now shares her passion to learn, teach and dance Argentine tango when she is not guiding the work of the company. She draws on her eclectic background to bring an understanding of visual motion and body awareness to her teaching and directing.
Mia has worked with World Champion Argentine Tango Masters, Fernanda Ghi and Guillermo Merlo, for 8 years. She is currently continuing to work as a teacher and to help run Artango Dance School in Boston. Mia also performs and collaborates with her creative (and life!) partner, Jun Kuribayashi (Former Pilobolus Artistic Associate), on dance that fuses different styles of partnering movements.
